Mary Margaret (Brinkley) Willis- Beeler, age 95, longtime Ridgway resident passed on this life, August 4, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Margaret as most knew her was born in Equality Twp., on September 23, 1926 to the late John Claude and Mae (Black) Brinkley.  

Margaret had attended the Clover Glen 1 room school and then graduated from Ridgway high school Class of 1944.  On May 15, 1950 she married Aubrey “Warty” Willis and preceded her in death in 1974.  She was the bookkeeper for Holderby Ford in Ridgway for 5 years, and secretary for Willis trucking for 24 years. She was also the HUD secretary in Shawneetown, had worked at the local convenience store in later years.  She will be remembered by a lot of people as one of the matrons over Teen Town in Ridgway.  Her and Tede Zirkelbach looked after the weekend gathering for kids for many years in the 1960’s Both Tede and Margaret had sons in the 2 main bands and they followed them to many venues.  In her later years she loved to travel and crossed the county several times.  She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and was an avid reader.  Her laugh could always be heard when you were around her.

On October 10, 1987 she married, Bill Beeler and he preceded her in death.  She was a faithful member of the Ridgway First Baptist church, a charter member of the Ridgway American Legion Auxiliary and past president the youngest one ever at that time.   She also had been a member of the Junction Rebekah Lodge and past Noble Grand.  Margaret was a wonderful Mother, Wife, Grandmother and friend and will be missed.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Judy Willis of Ridgway, a son, Jim & Sheri Willis of Ridgway, a sister in law's Tootie Brinkley, and Viola Carson, Grandchildren, Rachael Willis, Emily (Jason) Goematt, May Lynn Robinson, Laura Robinson, Rex Robinson, James Aubrey Willis, McKenzie Willis, Dorsey Willis, Sionainn Willis, Cody Robinson, Cheryl Gourd, Dean and Scott Willis and McKayla (Calvin)  Lauderdale,  Rebecca (Bill) King, many Great grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by sons, Terry Willis, John Robinson, Kayo Willis, Jay W. Willis and a grandson David Johnston and a brother Harvy Brinkley

Visitation for Margaret will be Sunday, August, 7, 2022 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM.  Her funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Scott Luckett officiating.  She will then be laid to rest in Hogan Cemetery south of Shawneetown with her husband Aubrey.
