Mary G. Logan, 97, of Elgin passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born March 19, 1918 in Sharon, WI the daughter of John Baptist Kollwelter and Rose Wankert Kollwelter. She had been a resident of Elgin since 1942.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Elgin.
Surviving are her 2 daughters, Barbara (Frederick “Ted”) Beuten and Nancy (Daniel) Carolan, 3 grandchildren, Dale Beuten, Kris (Lee) Kyes and Sean Carolan, 4 great grandchildren, Brenden, Josh, Olivia and Noah and 1 sister, Margaret Graff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Logan in 1979, 3 brothers, Charles, Robert and Elmer Kollwelter.
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 15 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Chris Kuhn officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin and Friday in the church from 10:15 until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She will be inurned in Logan Cemetery at a later date privately. Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway is entrusted with the arrangements.
