Mary F. Riden

Mary F. Riden, age 81 of Shawneetown, IL died peacefully in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN on Thursday, October 08, 2015. Mary was born in Cool Springs, KY on January 14, 1934 to the late William and Imogene (O'Neal) Kitchens. She was married to Homer Riden who preceded her in death in 1967.

Mary worked for many years at the Golden Circle and Gallatin County Courthouse in housekeeping. She loved her grandkids and cooking and baking. Mary was a very kind person always putting others first. She was a good mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Mary is survived by 3 sons, John Riden of Shawneetown, Homer (Sandy) Riden of Eldorado and Ron Riden of Eldorado. 3 sisters, Ruth Patton, Betty Terrell, and Linda Edmonds along with 8 grandchildren, Robert Alan, Chritopher Lee, Justin Ray, Nicole Francis, James Michael George, Ronnie Dale II, Eric James, and Timothy Scott. 9 Great Grandchildren, Destiny & Gabriella George, Tyler, Adi, and Addison Riden, Dakota Cash Lee Riden, Isla Summer Rose Riden, Abbie Sue Riden, Chloe Kay Riden. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by a son Donald, 2 brothers, Ray and Billy Joe Kitchens, and 2 sisters, Sue Morse and Lou Dameron

Cremation is was accorded and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Ohio Valley General Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mike Rushing officiating. Mary will be laid to rest at the Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisbur next to her husband and son.
