Mary Catherine Stallings

Mary Catherine ( Zuck)Stallings passed peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Mary was 82 years old and was the daughter of William and Julia (Keane) Zuck . Mary married Albert Stallings on February 13, 1949, he proceeded her in death in 1977. She recently lived in Eldorado with her daughter Elaine Stallings.

Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was also known for her talent of sewing Barbie dolls clothes for her 5 daughters when they were young. She was a member of the Scott Street Baptist Church in Eldorado.

She is survived by 5 daughters, Vonda Page, Venita Fals, Elaine Stallings & Carolyn (Curt) Goolsby. Brother, John (Dorothy) Zuck. Sister, Margaret Boulds. She is also survived by Grandchildren, April Morris, Sarah Absher, Lyle Goolsby and 3 Great Granchildren, Ashley, Jacob & Andrea. She was preceded in death by one son, Danny, a daughter, Donna and Grandson Ronnie Dale Page. Also surviving is a special friend, Shirley Tullis.

Visitation for Mary will be on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Cox & Son Funeral Chapel in Ridgway beginning at 11:00 AM. The Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM. Rev. Art Watson & Rev. Don Puckett will officiate. Interment will follow in Jackson Cemetery in Ridgway.
