Michael A. Guilliams

Michael A. Guilliams, a long-time dispatcher for a trucking company, passed away on February 9, 2024, in Dayton, TX. He was born on September 10, 1950, in Rushville, IL. His parents were Clarence & Geraldine (Hitz) Guilliams, who preceded him in death. He was married to Vivian (Hickerson) Guilliams who preceded him in death in 2019.
 Michael's two wonderful children who were the light of his life: Katie Guilliams and Ricky Guilliams. Michael also held a special place in the hearts of his grandchildren: Robert Alexander, Danny Hickerson, Brian Sisco, Karrie Randall, and Dianna Shaw, 12 great-grandchildren, Garrett, James, Dillon, Cussandar. David, Hunter, Osco, and Kayla. Their admiration for their grandfather was immeasurable; they cherished the love and attention he showered upon them. Siblings played a significant role in Michael's life as well. Linda Bertche, Karen Cothran, and Terri Huber. Charles and Steve Guilliams. The bond they shared was forged through a lifetime of shared memories and experiences. Along with several nieces and nephews which include, Sam, Nancy, David, Chuck, Wes, Adam, Amanda, Ryan, Micha, Becky, Greg, Laurie, Steven, Carrina, Jason, Patrick, Raven, and Little John.  
Although Michael may have departed this world physically, the impact he made on the lives he touched will be everlasting. He will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering dedication, and selfless love for those around him.
Michael was also preceded by his parents, daughter Katie Guilliams, daughter-in-law, Cindy (Ricky) Guilliams & brother in law, and Ron (Karen) Cochran.
A funeral service will be held in honor of Michael A. Guilliams on February 17, 2024, at Cox & Son Funeral Home Ridgway in Ridgway, IL. Visitation will begin at noon until the time of service will commence at 1:00. Family members and friends are invited to gather during this time to pay their respects.
