Michael H. Allen

Michael H. Allen, age 56 died at his home in Shawneetown on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Mike as most knew him was born in Sterling, IL to Howard and Helen (Rajnowski) Allen. He had worked as a laborer most of his life. He served his country in the Navy. Mike was married to Ruth Ann (Jomant) Allen who survives. Mike was a good husband, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Shawneetown his mother Helen of Rock Falls, IL, along with 5 Sisters, Donna Springer, Bonnie Oldham, Annette Floming and Deanna Kradle all of Sterling, Il and Barb Adair of New Albany, MS. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Lyle.

According to his wishes, Mike will be cremated and there will be no public service. Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown is in charge of arrangements.
