Myrtle G Smith

Myrtle G. Smith, age 79 resident of Ridgway, died peacefully on Sunday, December 9, 2012 in the Fountainview Nursing Home in Eldorado. Myrtle was born in Elsberry, Missouri on November 21, 1933 to the late Lucas and Viola (Hunter) Watkins.

Myrtle was a homemaker and loved to do crafts, take care of her dogs but really loved to garden and share her bounty with others. She was a very caring and loving person and will be missed.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Marvin Almon of Ridgway, 1 son, James (Lori) Arrendell of Otley, Iowa, 2 daughters, Susan (John) Wolfe of Hettinson, ND and Nancy Arrendell of Oscalossa, Iowa. 10 grandchildren and 2 sisters, Betty Anderson and Mary Watkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband and a son John Arrendell.

Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded and cremains will be inurned in Iowa. Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway is entrusted with the arrangements.
