Norma L. Gibbens

Norma L. “Pat” Gibbens, age 76, of Carmi but longtime Gallatin County resident, passed on this life on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the Ferrell Hospital.  Pat as most knew was born in the Eagle Creek Community in Gallatin County on August 2, 1941 to the late Donald and Ala (Miles) Brooks.

Pat was always a hard worker, from coal mines to driving a Semi truck where she logged over 2 million miles.  She had been in every State on the Mainland.  She had many hobbies from playing pool, reading, and collecting dolls, figurines or anything to do with Christmas, which was her favorite time of the year.  Though she never had children, she really loved her nieces and nephew whom she helped raise and spent a lot of time with.  She was a good person with a big heart and will be missed by many.

Pat is survived by her sister, Nancy Glasser of San Diego, CA and nieces and nephews, Gary Walda, Cynthia Webb, Susan Bean, Louis Franklin, Danielle Zrelak, Ben Miles, Chris, Wanda and Heather Wilson.  She was also preceded by a sisters, Nina Gowan and Phyllis Wilson, a brother Mike Miles and the love of her life, Ronnie Milligan.

Pat had planned for her services to be private.
