Paul Rigsby, age 72 lifelong resident of Shawneetown died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at his home. Paul was born south of Shawneetown on January 9, 1937 to the late Ray and Gladys (Wood) Rigsby. He was married to the former Mary Ann (Fuller) Rigsby who preceded him in death in 1999. Paul was a retired coal miner working 25 plus years as a miner. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Association. Paul over the years loved to hunt and fish, but most of all loved to visit with his friends and family and will be missed seen driving around Shawneetown like he did everyday. He was a good husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, and he will be missed in the community.

Paul is survived by, Son - Jerry (Monica) Rigsby of Shawneetown, Daughter - Tona Bonneville of Shawneetown, Brother - Robert Rigsby of South Fulton, TN, Sisters - Barbara Stacey of Shawneetown, Mary Brooks of Mt. Vernon, IL, and Naomi Bradley of Waukegan, IL. 7 Grandchildren - Tasha Hall, Michael Chappell, Derek Chappell, Jeremy Rigsby, Tierney Rigsby, Mark Paul Bonneville, and Alisha Bonneville. 4 Great GrandchildrKara and McKenna Dale and Paisley and Ridge Chappell. He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers, Marshall and Hershel Rigsby and a Sister - Dianne Perry.

Visitation for Paul will be Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM the funeral will be on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery.
