Phyllis Jean Drone

Phyllis Jean Drone, age 80 lifelong Ridgway resident passed from this life, Thursday, August 10, 2017 in the Eldorado Nursing and Rehab Center surrounded by her family.  Phyllis was born on Feb. 7, 1937 to the late Phillip and Aileen (Abell) Ande.  On September 17, 1957 she married Don F. Drone.

Phyllis worked for many years at the Ridgway Food Park and the E-Z Stop before retiring.  She was a faithful member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church.                                          
Over the years, she enjoyed sewing, crafts, baking, camping, attending dances with her husband, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Don Drone of Ridgway, son, Alan (Cindy) Drone of Ridgway, daughters, Annette (Harold) Campbell of Ewing, IL and Nina (David) Kingston of Norris City.  Grandchildren Alicia (Bobby) Allen, Jacob Drone, Katie (Noel) Clore, Allison (Bret) Campbell and Casey Campbell. 7 Great Grandchildren
Sisters, Helen Cook, Janice Cooley, Joyce Jones all of Eldorado and Judy Atkins of Ridgway and a Sister in Law, Melissa Drone of Ridgway and numerous nieces and nephews.  Besides her parent she is preceded in death by a son Peter John Drone.

Visitation for Phyllis will be on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM  with a prayer service at 7 PM.

Funeral Mass will be on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway at 10:00 AM.  Fr. Steven Beatty will celebrate Mass.  Her burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Ridgway.
