Phyllis Charlene Oldham

Phyllis Charlene (Collins) Oldham, 67 longtime resident of Shawneetown, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 22, 2023.

Phyllis was born on February 29, 1956 to the late Charles and Cleada (Baldwin) Collins in Harrisburg, Illinois. Phyllis was known for having an open door to anyone in the neighborhood. She loved to take a drive around the back roads. She spent many of her days working as a care taker. Phyllis was one of a kind, she was down to earth and was loved by so many.

In 1976 she married, the late Walter “Butch” Oldham. Phyllis and Butch went on to have 3 loving boys Kenny Oldham, David (Brandy) Oldham, and Tim Oldham. 1 cherished daughter Jennifer Oldham. Phyllis is survived by 11 grandchildren, Kaley, Kensley, Tyler, Ethan, Dylan, Matt, Leah, Nick, Kimberly, Veronica, and Leam. 3 great-grandchildren, Avani, Mason, and Oaklyn. 2 sisters Debbie (James) Owens, and Cindy McGhee. A brother Danny (Patti) Collins and a sister-in law Harriet Collins. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis is predeceased in death by her brother Charles “Bub” Collins and granddaughter Meghan.  

Services for Phyllis will be on Friday May 26, 2023 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown, Illinois at 1:00 PM The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM.  Phyllis will be laid to rest in the Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown, Illinois
