Robert Steven O'Neil

Robert Steven O'Neil, age 62 of Mt. Vernon, IN died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 as a result of a house fire. Steve as most knew him was born in Eldorado, IL on December 9, 1952 to the Robert C. O'Neil and Martha (Anderson) O'Neil who survives. Steve worked at Whirlpool and McCarty landfill before retiring. He loved Tri State Speedway in Haubstadt where he spent much of his spare time. He liked to ride his 4 wheeler, build things and just enjoy his life. Steve was a good son and brother and will be missed.

Steve is survived by his mother, Martha O'Neil of Mt. Vernon and 2 brothers, Rod (Tammy) O'Neil and Marty (Helen) O'Neil all of Mt. Vernon, IN. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert O'Neil just this past week and a nephew Ryan O'Neil.
