Robert E. Bean, age 89 longtime resident of Muddy died on May 17, 2016 in the Shawnee Rose Nursing Home in Harrisburg. Robert or ""Horsefly"" as some knew him was born in Muddy on October 21, 1926 to the late William and Opal (Walden) Bean. He served his country in U.S. Army as a Military Police during World War II. Robert worked in Lawn Care most of his life. He was never married. Robert was a good man who will be missed by many.
He is survived by a sister, Phyllis Bean of Muddy, 2 brothers, Dale Bean of Hobart, IN and Howard Bean of Ledford, IL. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews, Dixie & Edward Young, Darryl & Rhonda Disney, Dan & Kathy Disney, Deborah & Gary Crabtree, Sr., Karen ""Suzie"" & Anachart ""Ink"" Sucharitakul, Jonah & Denise Gibson, Jeffrey & Sherry Bean, Leanne & Robert Rivera. He was preceded in death also by, 2 sisters, Chris Disney and Virginia Ruth Bean and 2 brothers, Ken and Harold Bean.
Graveside service for Robert will be on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL starting at 11:00 AM. Those wanting to attend should go directly to the cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the gravesite.
