Ronnie D. Partain

Ronnie D. Partain, age 74, passed this life peacefully on September 9, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. Ronnie was born June 1, 1941, in Harrisburg, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry A. Partain; his wife Opal L. (Howard) Partain; and a son, Ricky D. Partain. Ronnie is survived by his mother, Helen (Farkas) Partain, and wife, Lela (Barger) Partain, both of Harrisburg, IL; daughters, Robbie J. Partain, Florida, & Suzan (Andrew) Brydon, Missouri; sons, Jason B. Partain, Kentucky, & Charles A. Ballard, Oregon; his sister, Peggy Austin, Marion, IL; and brother William 'Bill' (Diane) Partain, Harrisburg, IL; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ronnie was a mechanic at Peabody Coal Company for 25 years. He loved the outdoors and especially loved being at his 'Hill' in Pope County. He was a Protestant by faith and had a smile that was contagious. He was a good husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be missed by all who knew him. Ronnie's wishes were to be cremated, and a private burial service conducted by Rev. G. E. Coultas will be held at a later date at the Partain/Santy Cemetery near Herod, IL.
