Rose J. Goforth, age 75 longtime New Haven resident passed on this life, January 9, 2020 in Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, IN. Rose was born in New Haven on January 13, 1944 to the late Barney & Dessie (Travelstead) Clifford. On March 4, 1967 she married the love of her life, Donald “Soup” Goforth who survives.
Rose enjoyed playing bingo, game shows and cooking. Her real love was her family. She was Presbyterian by faith. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked for many years at nursing homes. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed.
Rose is survived by her husband Donald, a daughter, Audra (Jason) Belford, a son, Todd (Amy) Goforth, grandchildren, Molly (Joseph) Bowlin, Victoria Belford and fiancée Matthew Zanker and Ariana Goforth., 2 great grandchildren, Jayden and Macey Bowlin. 2 brothers, Clarence and Hubert Clifford and a sister, Jennie (Mike) Smith. She was preceded by brothers, Bob, Louis and Bill Clifford, sisters, Louise Johnston, Edith Littrell, Joan Emery and Kay Mason.
Graveside services are scheduled for Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Fields officiating.
