Rose Morris

Rose Morris, age 89 of New Haven died peacefully Monday, February 15, 2010 in the Wabash Christian Center in Carmi. Rose was born in White Plains, Ky on March 5, 1920 to the late Edward Majors and Della (Grace) Majors. Rose was a homemaker most of life, loved to garden and was a huge Kentucky Wildcat Fan. She was a General Baptist by faith and had been a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the New Haven American Legion. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Rose is survived by: her daughter, Deloris Whitaker of New Haven, a son, Noel ""Bill"" and Sue Morris of Peoria, IL, 1 sister, Myrtle McPherson of Greenville, Ky and 8 Grandchildren, Larry Brown, Scott Brown, Lisa Hutchinson, Jessica Whitaker, Shawn Morris, Kelly Morris, Lamont Morris and Charmaine Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son in law, Clifford Whitaker, 5 Brothers and 3 sisters.

A visitation for Rose will be Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in New Haven from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and the Funeral Service will be on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Mike Fields will officiate and burial will be in the City Cemetery in Uniontown, Ky.
