Russell Lee Moore

Russell Lee Moore, 49 of Junction, IL. passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. His family surrounded him. Russell was a devoted son, husband, father, loving brother, and grandfather. 

Russell is survived by his loving and caring wife, Karen Moore. His loving parents Eddie and Mona Moore of Junction. Sister Michele (Chad) Rilying of Eldorado, Il. two sons, Zach (Jenna) Moore and Braiden Van of Junction. Daughter Brittany Van of Albion. Nephew Nolan Rilying. Uncle & Aunt Darrell & Tammy Moore, along with several other Aunts and Uncles.

Russell's greatest treasure was his 2 Grandchildren, Montanna Lee Moore and Bralen Wade Rhodes who knew him as 'PopPop". Russell loved being outdoors and smoking a variety of meats on his Traeger Grill.

Russell was preceded in death by his Aunt & Uncle, Ann and Phillip Brazier, Uncle James (Shorty) Martin, and Teddy Moore. He is also preceded by his best friend John "Gerico" Gibbs.

Russell served in the United States Navy as a missile technician from 1993-1997.

Services will be held at the Junction General Baptist Church on February 12, 2024. Visitation beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service at noon.

The burial will be in Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown, IL.
