Sandra Skaggs

Sandra S. Skaggs, age 81, of Franklin, TN but longtime Ridgway resident passed on this life, December 6, 2018 in Franklin.  Sandra was born in Harrisburg, IL on Jan. 26, 1937 to the late Icil and Shirley (Hossler) Butler.  On Jan. 11, 1959 she married Frank P. Skaggs III.  He preceded her in death in April of this year.

Sandra was a Registered Nurse most of her life and was the Director of Nursing at the Ridgway Manor before retiring.  She loved her work and enjoyed riding her bike, socializing and visiting her friends.  She always kept track of what was going on in Ridgway calling many of her friends by phone daily since living in Franklin.  She was a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway

Sandra is survived by her son Frank P. (Pam) Skaggs, IV of Franklin, TN and a daughter, Rebecca (Edwards) Drone of Edwardsburg, MI. 6 grandchildren,  Frank, Lynnetta, Dustin, Crystie, Meagan and Joshua, and 9 Great Grandchildren..  She is also preceded by a sister, Carol Ann (Pete) Hayes of Ohio and her step father, James Scott

Visitation for Sandra will be on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  A funeral mass will be on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM,  at the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway with Father Steven Beatty celebrating mass.  She will be laid to rest following the service in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg with her husband.

Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the St. Kateri Church in her memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
