Shirley Ann Hutchison

Shirley Ann Hutchison, age 69 of Carmi died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after an extended illness. Shirley was born in Broseley, Missouri on September 2, 1944 to the late Cecil and Eula Mae (Hillyard) Minehart. Shirley enjoyed her flower gardening, fishing her family and especially playing with her great grandchildren. She was a Pentecostal in faith. Shirley was a wonderful soul, always happy and kind. She was a good mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, she will be missed.

Shirley is survived by 3 daughters, Karen (Jerry) Cathey of Omaha, Sharon Goodman of Ridgway, and Linda Wright of Evansville, IN. Grandchildren, Ashley(Joseph) Moye, Jeremy(Sarah) Cathey, Chelsea, Maranda, and Madison Goodman, Joshua (Shay) Wright and Melissa (James) Steele. Great Grandchildren, Ben, Kara, Eli, Claire, Jackson, Riley, Mason, Noah, and Remington. 1 brother, Carl (Betty) Minehart of Broseley, MO, 1 sister, Marva (Dwaine) Lewis of Dudley, MO and a sister in law, Virginia Minehart of Fisk, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Steven Wright and a brother, Jerry Minehart.

Visitation for Shirley will be on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. Her funeral will be on Friday, November 15, 2013 starting at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Her grandson Jeremy Cathey will officiate the service, and burial will follow at the Marshall Ferry Cemetery near Dogtown, IL.
