Simon Edward Muenstermann

Simon Edward Muenstermann, age 94 of Herrin, IL but formerly of Equality died on January 11, 2013 in the Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin. Simon was born in Equality on January 25, 1918 to the late Anthony & Mary Julia (Wargel) Muenstermann. He was a farmer most of his life. Simon served his country during World War II in the Army. On January 22, 1959 he married the former Delores McConnell who survives.

Simon is survived by his wife, Delores, a son Donald Muenstermann and a daughter, Onzalee Jane Muenstermann. He was preceded in death also by 3 brothers, Valentine, George and Charles, and 4 sisters, Rosalie, Rita, Betty and Joan.

Per his request he will be cremated and his cremains will be interred privately. Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway is entrusted with the arrangements.
