Sue Ella Mowry

Sue Ella (Upton) Mowry, 73, of Lebanon, died on Friday, March 3, 2017. Born on August 20, 1943 to Charles and Catherine (nee: Adams) Upton in New Haven, IL. Sue was a member and volunteer at Lebanon Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sewing the costumes for the live Nativity participants, the Lord’s Last Supper figurine display and made banners and flags for the church sanctuary. She volunteered with Matthew 25 Ministries, the Lebanon Food Pantry and the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Warren County.

Preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Fred and Kirby Upton, she is survived by her loving husband, Don Mowry, son, Eric Landis of Sharonville, daughter, Heidi Landis of Montgomery, sister, Leslie (Corky) Merritt, step-daughter, Kimberly Mowry of Bradenton, FL, step-children, Rob (Stephanie) Retallick, Tom (Tina) Retallick and Cindy (Mario) Amaya, grandchildren, Charlie and Audrey Griffith, Robert, Justin, Cameron, Ben, Breauna and Savannah Retallick, Nora, Nathan and Naomi Retallick and Alyssa, Jacquelyn and Sophia Amaya and many beloved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Sue was a public school teacher for 33 years and held a Master's Degree in Education from Southern Illinois University.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Lebanon Presbyterian Church. Sue Ella will be inurned privately in the Union Ridge Cemetery in New Haven, IL.
