Sue E. Smith (Pearce)

Sue E. Smith, age 62, of Cottonwood, IL passed on this life at her home surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness.  Sue was born on March 29, 1960 to the late Billy and Mary (Casey) Pearce.  She is married to Keith Smith who survives.

Sue grew up in Cottonwood and attended and graduated from Ridgway HIgh School.  She loved to be in the kitchen feeding people, she worked many years at the Red Onion in Equality and Dads BBQ in Eldorado.  People came from far and wide for her chicken and dumplings. She loved to crochet and made beautiful blankets.  Sue was a kind and gentle soul who always looked after others before herself.  She will be remembered fondly by many.

Sue is survived by her husbnd, Keith Smith of Cottonwood, a daughter, Rolanda Hinton (Brian Ball) of New Haven, a son, Craig (Raven) Smith of Carbondale.  Grandchildren, Mary Paige Wilson (Joe Azzarello), Damon (Hannah) Hinton, Jack Hinton, Maria &y Evelyn Smith and great grandchildren, Zoey Hinton, Milo, Carmine, Beckham and Rowan Azzarello.  Her sister, Lora Mae White and 2 brothers, Gene (Pam) Pearce and Dennis (Billie) Pearce.  Nieces, Nephews and many friends
