Susan A Coker

Susan A. Coker, age 59 of Eldorado formerly of Ridgway, passed on this life peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.  Susan was born in Eldorado, IL on October 18, 1956 to the late Marion “Bud” and Betty (Pool) Drone.  On September 30, 1988 she married the love of her life, David Coker who survives.  Susan had worked for 39 years at Banterra Bank.  She was a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church.  Susan loved her cats, planting flowers and was very kind and caring person.  She always had a smile for you.  Her love on earth was being a mother.  Susan was a good wife, mother, sister and friend and will be missed by many.

Susan is survived by her husband, David of Eldorado, her loving son, Samuel of Eldorado, 3 sisters, Cindy and Mike Awalt of Carmi, IL, Trudy and Bill Cannon of Georgia, and Mary Jane and Scott Darnell of Cave In Rock, Il.  She had many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Susan will be on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Prayer service at 5:00 PM.  Her funeral mass will be on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway starting at 10:00 AM with Fr. Steven Beatty celebrating.  Her interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Ridgway.

In her memory you can make a contribution to the St. Kateri Catholic Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
