Mary Suzanne Park, age 89 longtime resident of Shawneetown died Wednesday, Novermer 4, 2009 at the Ridgway Manor Nursing Home. Suzanne as most knew her was born in Broughton, IL on August 8, 1920 to the late Ernie & Anna Rodgers. She was married to Leslie ""Sparky"" Park who preceded her in death. She was a Baptist by faith. Suzanne was very active in Democrat Politics being an election judge for many years. She loved to Read, Cook, be with her family and always had a smile for you. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed by our community.

Suzanne is survived by, 2 Sons - Gene (Linda) Park of California and Gary (Penny) Park of Palestine, Ark along with 1 Daughter - Wynell (Roger) McCallie of Shawneetown, IL. 2 Brothers - Leon Rodgers of Junction, IL and Charlie Rodgers of Wyoming. 5 Sisters - Aileen Tucker of Shawneetown, Ann Lois Lackey of Roxeanne, IL, Betty Lackey of Woodriver, IL, Phyllis Ballard of Shawneetown, IL and Vickie Walker of Shawneetown, IL. 16 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. 1 Great Great Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by 2 Daughters - Marilyn Camire and Joyce Ann Matthews , 1 Son - Ricky Park, 2 Brothers - Bill and Edgar Rodgers and a sister - Elsie Grumley.

Services for Suzanne will be Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown at 11:00 AM where the family will receive friends after 10:00 AM. Rev. Roy Dale Orr will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Oval Cemetery near Norris City.
