Teddy Moore

Teddy D. Moore, age 63, longtime Shawneetown resident passed on this life Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021 unexpectedly at his home.  Teddy was born in Harlan, Ky on February 27, 1957 to the late Ed and Martha (Vandergriff) Moore.  On January 1, 1991 he married Marlene (Lane) Moore who survives.

Teddy was retired from Audubon Trucking in Henderson after 30 years.  He loved to Fish, Hunt and be outside.  He always like kid with you and was a good man.  He loved his family very much, always spending time with kids and grandkids.  Teddy was a faithful member of the Junction Baptist Church.  He was a good husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He will be missed.

Teddy is survived by his wife, Marlene of Shawneetown, a son Westley Moore of Carterville, IL, 2 daughters, Thearsa Moore of New Albany, IN and Whitney (Matt) Rhodes of Sturgis, Ky. 2 brothers, Eddie (Mona) Moore, Junction, and Darrell (Tammy) Moore of Shawneetown. 6 Grandchildren, Madi, Landon, Lathan, Maddox, Weston and Mosi.  He was preceded also by a grandchild, Riley Rhodes, a sister, Shelby Poore and a brother Gary Moore.

Visitation for Teddy will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 12 noon until 1:00 PM.  His funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home starting at 1:00 PM with Rev. Scott Luckett officiating.  He will be laid to rest in Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association and envelopes will be available.
