Walter Loren Bean, age 86 of Eldorado died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on June 2, 2014. Loren as most knew him was born in Marion, Il on December 21, 1927 to the late James Walter and Amanda (Cox) Bean. On June 10, 1950 he married the love of his life, Edna Ruth (Sinsabaugh) Bean who survives. Loren worked many years as a Mechanic Foreman for General Motors and then in later years owned and operated a Tire business. He was known around Eldorado as the Bread Man, because he would go to the bakeries and get bread and bring back for people to help them. He was very artistic, starting from a little boy until his sickness, he was always drawing something . He loved to be with his family and always enjoyed a good conversation. Loren served his country in the Army during Korea. He was a good husband, father, brother and grandfather, and will be so missed.

Loren is survived by his wife, Ruth of Eldorado along with 2 sons, Kevin and Bonnie Bean of Eldorado, Keith and Tena Bean of Eldorado and a daughter, Kathy and Joel Stanley of Eldorado. He is also survived by a sister, Dottie Stevens of Raleigh, IL along with 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Lane and 4 Brothers and 4 Sisters.

Visitation for Loren will be on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. His funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Darrell Eisenhauer officiating. Interment will follow at the Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado with military rites.
