Wanda L. Parks

Wanda L. Parks, age 84, of Simpson, IL but formerly of New Haven, IL passed on this life, November 5, 2022 in the Enfield Rehab and Health Care Center.  Wanda was born on October 15, 1938 to the late Herbert and Tessie (Johnson) Williams.  On September 2, 1954 she married Preston Jerry Parks who preceded her in death.

Wanda loved to crochet, knit, read and take care of her family.  She always had a smile and a kind word for you.  Though she lived some hard times of tragedy with her family, she always kept her faith.  She will be missed but never forgotten.

She is survived by a son, Mervin Parks of New Haven, 2 daughters, Delbra Gothard of Norris City and Mary Ruth Parks of Simpson.  15 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded also by her 2 sons, Sanford and Dewayne and a daughter Renee along with 2 grandchildren.

Visitation for Wanda will be Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in New Haven from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM.  A graveside service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM at the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.
