William T. Hazel

William T. Hazel, age 52 of Eldorado, Il. Formerly of Shawneetown, Il died Friday, November 19, 2010 as the result of an hunting accident. Bill as most knew him was born in Sturgis, Ky on August 8, 1958 to Marlan and Bertha (Wright) Hazel. He worked in the Coal Mines as Truck Driver. Bill loved to hunt and fish and was always a good worker. He had a big heart and would do anything for anybody. He was a good father, brother, son and friend and will be greatly missed.

Bill is survived by, 2 sons - Eric Hazel of Equality and David Hazel of Old Shawneetown. 2 daughters - Erin (Tim) Oldham of Old Shawneetown and Sarah Hazel of Old Shawneetown. 2 Brothers, Charles Hazel of Henderson, Ky, and Vernon Hazel of Old Shawneetown. 2 sisters, Pauline Doyle of Old Shawneetown and Susie Clark of Scott City, MO. 5 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death also by a sister Bessie Cobb.

Visitation for Bill will be on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 11:00 Am to 1:30 PM. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Hazel Bend Cemetery near Sturgis, Ky with Rev. Bob Powell officiating.
