Wilma F Bradley

Wilma F. (Thompson) Bradley, age 97 went to be with the Lord at 11:30 AM on September 24, 2015 at the Eldorado Rehab and Healthcare. Wilma was born on March 23, 1918 to the late William and Lucy (Burroughs) Thompson South of Shawneetown in the Thompson Bottoms. On December 22, 1938 she married Claude Bradley in Morganfield, Ky. As a result of this marriage, there were three sons, Burtis, Lawrence, and David.

Wilma worked for many years, nicknamed as Bill, at Shawnee Cabinet factory. She loved to fish, crochet, and work around the house. She loved being around her family and the highlight of each day was drinking coffee with her sons and grandsons. Wilma was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Junction. She was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed.

Wilma is survived by 2 sons, Lawrence (Iris) Bradley and David Bradley, 5 grandchildren, Curtis (Lisa) Bradley, Wes (Bekki) Bradley, Shawn Bradley, Shannon (Olivia) Bradley, Alison (Chad) Martin, 13 Great Grandchildren, Kacie (Josh) Sais, Kyle (Danielle) Lowery, Makenzie (Nathan) Golden, Evan Bradley, MaKayln Smith, Davis, Tessa and Ty Bradley, Ansley, Laney, and Maddie Naas, and Avery and CJ Martin, Great Great Grandchildren, Madilyn and Grayson Sais and baby Leah Golden on the way. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Claude and 5 sisters.

Visitation for Wilma will be on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown where her funeral will immediately follow starting at 2:00 PM. Rev. Roy Dale Orr and grandson Curtis Bradley will officiate and burial will take place in the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
