Wynell McCallie

Wynell P. McCallie, age 78 of Shawneetown, passed on this life, June 19, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.   Wynell was born near Norris City, IL on December 26, 1943 to the late Leslie and Suzanne (Rodgers) Park.  On June 14, 1992 she married Roger McCallie.

Wynell had worked most of life in the nursing field, always helping others.  She loved to cook, but mostly be with her family.  She had a lively personality that always was a joy to be around.  She will be remembered as a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Wynell is survived by her husband, Roger McCallie of Shawneetown, a son, Jimmy Williams of Rochester, NY and daughter, Debbie (Brian) Woolard of Shawneetown. Her stepchildren are Alan and Robbie McCallie, Marci Jacoby and Shelly Bartmouth. Her grandchildren, Brianna, Paige, Courtney and Kyle along with 2 brothers, Gene and Gary Park.  She was also preceded by a son, Rick and a daughter, Marilyn Camire.

Her services will be private.
