Alice Gibbons

Alice M. Gibbons, age 82 longtime Shawneetown resident passed on this life, June 5, 2020 in the Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Evansville, IN.    Alice was born in Alton, IL on November 17, 1937 to the late Charles “Pete” and Josephine (Bantz) Clayton.

She was married to Hal Barlow and Charles Gibbons both preceded her in death.  She was a homemaker always taking care of her family.  She will be missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Jo (Delmar) Ventress of McLeansboro, Cristy (Scott) Sauls of Omaha and Penny Barlow of Shawneetown.  Grandchildren Joe Farler, Brittany Johnson, Kyle Sauls, Brian Barlow, Cristine Cleek, and Pegan Pyle, 9 Great Grandchildren.  2 sisters, Pearl Hyatt and Evelyn Belt.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, a daughter, Patty Sue Barlow, and brothers, Dean, Charles Jr, Bob and William D. Clayton

Due to the Covid 19 Virus there will be a private visitation. Graveside service will follow at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM.   Rev. Jack Hall will officiate.  You may leave a note of comfort to the family or obtain a memorial at www.coxandson.com
