Charles Ballard

Charles Anthony "Tony/Chaz" Ballard, age 59 of Sweet Home, Oregon formerly of Ridgway passed on this life August 2, 2020 after an extended illness with Peripheral Arterial Disease.  Tony was born in Eldorado, IL on July 29, 1961 to Donald Ballard and Lela (Barger) Partain.  He was a graduate of Ridgway High School.

Tony served his country in the United States Navy.  He had worked construction all over the country until his health problems caused retirement. He loved music especially playing the guitar.  He loved to fish and spent many nights camping and enjoying the outdoors.  His contagious smile and gentle soul always shined through.  His personality was kind and courteous. He will be missed by many especially as a Father, Son, Grandparent, Brother, and friend.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Serenity (Kenneth) Wilson and grandchildren, Sophie, Kensley and Vincent Wilson all of Albany, Oregon.  His loving mother, Lela Partain of Harrisburg, iL, his beloved sister, Suzan (Andrew) Brydon of Colorado, a niece, Emma (Jim) Carahar and Jamesy of Seattle, nephews, Hudson Kiesel and Max Brydon of Colorado.  Tony was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ballard, and stepfather, Ronnie Partain.

His services will be private and Tony will be laid to rest in the Partain Cemetery near Herod, IL
