Edith Fleischmann

Edith A. Fleischmann, age 82 of Harrisburg, passed on this life, on January 27, 2022, in Heartland Regional Hospital in Marion, IL.  Edith was born in Staten Island, New York on July 20, 1939, to the late Anthony and Edith Guerrio

Edith was a caretaker most of her life for others.  Her heart and faith always shined, as she always was helping the needy.  She was a faithful member of the Dorrisville Baptist Church in Harrisburg where was a member of the Pink Disciples Sunday School class and the Mercy Corner Clothing Ministry. Her real love was always her children and grandchildren.   She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed.

Edith is survived by, 2 daughters, Gina (Jim) Capeheart of West Frankfort and Loriann Pezzoni of Kentucky. 2 sons, Richie Pezzoni of Staten Island, NY, and Kurt (Jessica) Fleischmann of Harrisburg, IL. 3 sisters, Doreen, Rosalie, and Angel along with 17 grandchildren 23 grandchildren.  She is preceded also by soulmate, William Joiner, grandchildren, Gabrielle, Mazelyn, and Candice

Visitation for Edith will be on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 11:00 am to 2:00 PM.  Her graveside service at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg will be announced at a later time.
