Eva Dennison

Eva Alice Dennison, age 95 longtime Ridgway resident, passed on peacefully this life, February 14, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family.  Eva was born near Fairfield, IL on August 25, 1923 to the late Clarence and Ora (Mayberry) Williams.  On August 16, 1952 she married Charles “Kayo” Dennison who preceded her in death in 1992.

Eva was a member of the Ridgway First Baptist Church.  She loved to be outside especially doing yard work and in the garden.  She always enjoyed camping and fishing.  Her real love was visiting with her friends and family, always having a smile and laugh for you and sometimes kidding you a little.  She was a good mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by many.

Eva is survived by 2 sons, Lyndal (Truyen) Williams of Cave In Rock,  Ed (Nonie) Dennison of Ridgway, and Kay (Randy deceased) Stricklin of Eldorado.  5 grandchildren, Veronica (BJ) Bartok, Penny (Eric) Vaughn, Lori Dennison (Matt Lester), Rex (Arlee) Stricklin, and Leah (Alan) Geppert.  10 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by, 2 brothers, 7 sisters, and 3 grandchildren.

Visitation for Eva will be on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Her funeral service will immediately follow at the the funeral home starting at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lyndal Sork officiating.  She will be laid to rest next to husband in Jackson Cemetery near Ridgway.
