Jimmie Hall

December 10, 1934 — September 7, 2021

Jimmie Hall, age 86, lifelong Shawneetown resident, passed on this life after an extended illness in Gallatin Manor Nursing Center in Ridgway on September 7, 2021.  Jim was born on December 10, 1934 to the late Ezra and Mary (Cozart) Hall.  On February 19, 1953 he married the former Daisy (Gordon) Hall who survives.  Jim was a member of the Shawneetown First Baptist Church.

Jim worked most of his life as a farmhand.  He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and especially riding horses.  He always had joke for you and if not loved to kid you.   He was always smiling.  Jim loved his family and will be missed

He is survived by his wife Daisy of 68 years, along with 2 sons, Jim Lee Hall of Shawneetown and Ivan (Sherry) Hall of Shawneetown.  1 brother, Roy (Brenda) Hall of Shawneetown, 2 sisters, Flora Rider of Shawneetwon, and Berniece Yackley of Tennessee.  4 Grandchildren, Paul (Sharon) Hall, Tommy (Jessica) Hall, Jimmie Ray Hall, Christina (Jamie) Shelton, 2 step grand, Whitney Scott, and Brandie (Jason) Cooper. and 7 Great Grandchildren, Alex, Allie, Dustin, JayDee, Nathaniel, Drake and Mia.  He was also preceded by a grandchild Randall Ezra Hall, 1 great-grandchild  Brittany Hall, 2 brothers, Wayne and Ivan Hall and a sister Mary McCullum

Visitation for Jim will be on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 12 Noon to 2 PM.  His funeral will follow at 2 PM with Rev. Jack Hall officiating.  Jim will be laid to rest in the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
