Lois Rodgers

March 12, 1928 — June 13, 2020

Lois V. Rodgers, age 92, lifelong Junction resident went home to the Lord on June 13, 2020 at her home after an extended illness.  Lois was born on March 12, 1928 in Junction, IL to the late, Everett and Eva (Bradley) Patton.  On March 29, 1950 she married the love of her life, Leon “Cutter” Rodgers who preceded her in 2012.

Lois was a faithful servant of the Lord and life long member of the Junction First Baptist church where she had played the piano for over 55 years.  She was the bookkeeper for many years at Bradley Bros Oil in Junction.  She loved to garden, canning, take care of her chickens, but mostly loved her family.  She prayed daily for a lot of people and will be missed by many. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Lois is survived by her daughter whom cared for her, Karen Dale of Junction, her grandson Jarad Dale and great grandson Wyatt Dale.

Visitation for Lois will be Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 11:00 AM  to 1:00 PM.  Her funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Roy Dale Orr officiating.  She will then be laid to rest next to her husband in Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.

Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the Junction First Baptist Church.
