Patsy Browning

April 13, 1939 — February 7, 2020

Patsy J. Browning, age 80, longtime New Haven resident passed on this life, February 7, 2020 in the Linda White Hospice Center in Evansville, IN.  Patsy was born in New Haven on April 13, 1939 to the late Hershel & Beulah (Downen) Stevens.  On September 22, 1961 she married Herbert “Dobie” Browning who preceded her in death in 2013.

Patsy was a Presbyterian by faith.  She worked many years in Retail Cosmetic sales at Dillards, and in later years worked at the New Haven American Legion.  She loved to laugh and always had a smile for you.  She was very active in the New Haven community, from the Ladies Auxiliary to the Just Us organization.  She enjoyed reading, traveling, fishing, camping, 4 wheeler riding and was always active in politics.  Her real love was her children and grandchildren, she will be missed.

Patsy is survived by her daughter, Carla Jackson of Evansville, IN, a son, David Browning of Vienna, IL, 7 grandchildren, Kali, Austin, Dylan, Madison, Emma, Dana, and Rebecca, along with great grandchildren, Kyle, Zachary, Jacob, Nila, and Aspen.  She is also survived by 3 brothers, Kenny (JoAnn) Stevens, Rick (Cheryl) Stevens, Danny (Melody) Stevens, 2 sisters, Margie (Chris) Hale and Peggy Garrett.  She was preceded by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, Carl, Mike and Jim Stevens, and a granddaughter Lacie.

Visitation for Patsy will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in New Haven from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Her funeral service will be on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the funeral home at 10:00 AM and interment will follow in the Union Ridge Cemetery.
