Tommy Sork

Tommy L. Sork, age 68, lifelong Ridgway resident passed on this life, December 15, 2021 in Deaconess Hospital, Henderson, KY.  Tommy was born in Eldorado, IL on March 7, 1953 to the late Edgar and Norma (Tarrants) Sork.

He attended and graduated from Ridgway High School where he was in Band.  He worked for many years at the Ridgway Popcorn Plant where he retired from.  Tommy was a faithful member for many years of the Ridgway First Baptist Church before his health issues caused him to stay home.  He was a huge St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan and a fan of Tom Brady in football.  He also enjoyed board games.  Tom was always a polite and considerate person with a joyful soul.  He will be missed.

Tommy is survived by his sister, Donna (Charlie) Corbin, an aunt, Jo Boester and 2 uncles, Lyndal Sork and Lonnie Sauls.  Many cousins and friends.  He also preceded by his caretaker, Brenda Melton.

Visitation for Tommy will be on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway.  His funeral service will be on Monday, December 20, 2021 at the funeral home starting at 11:00 AM with Rev. Randy Sork officiating.  Tommy will then be laid to rest in the Jackson Cemetery near Ridgway with his parents
